Trial by Website – Part 6 What is wrong with this picture?
72The difference between a good artist and a bull artist
It can be said that those who put articles onto the pages of the Liberty Dispatch Weblog are quite handy when it comes to illustrating their work. Nothing quite as complimentary should be said for their writing. Often what they have to tell the world would likely be better left unsaid – or at least composed with more care.
All the same, what they tell folks is told with reasonably obvious purposes in mind. The lead title of this "Trial by Website" series was not chosen by accident.
Accusations
They continue their pecking away at Joe Warren, the Assistant District Attorney of Liberty County, Texas, and at his boss, Michael Little. Joe Warren had been appointed by Mr. Little, the District Attorney, to be the head prosecutor of the numerous men and boys accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in the now notorious Cleveland (Texas) rape case.
He is also involved in the prosecution of Frederick Ray Akins and Edward Shauberger, both accused of several felonies in another criminal matter involving an attempted takeover of a small home healthcare company in Liberty, Texas.
Defending the accuseds
James Evans, III, is a defense attorney for some of the accused rapists. He is also Frederick Ray Akins’ defense attorney. Mr. Akins’ trial is docketed for the morning of September 7th, only several weeks from today.
Recently, Attorney Evans requested a District Court located in Liberty County remove Joe Warren from prosecutorial duties in the court until and unless Mr. Warren can be cleared of the accusations currently lodged against him. Those accusations stem from an arrest warrant affidavit prepared and submitted by Liberty County Sheriff Deputy Louis Guthrie. The actual complainant in the Joe Warren arrest is yet to be disclosed. It is unknown if an active connection exists between Mr. Akins, Mr. Evans, Deputy Guthrie, the Warren complainant, and the Joe Warren arrest. If there are connections, they will be revealed in time.
Who really is LibertyDispatch.com?
Mr. Akins was once listed as the registrant for Liberty Dispatch, but, today, that site’s registrant is carried as "Proxy, Inc.," such that the real and current registrant’s name is hidden from public view. In other words, we have no immediate way of knowing who it is that is pursuing this article campaign. We do not know the identity of the person or persons who write and illustrate the articles, either. The potential beneficiaries, however, are not so hard to discern.
At any rate, this Liberty Dispatch blog article has one major theme and several minor themes. Its major theme is the demeaning of Mr. Michael Little and his district attorney’s office and its performance. The minor theme seems to be complaint that Joe Warren has not yet been removed from the prosecution of those accused of being child rapists.
It was all Kelley’s fault – so why is it not also Warren’s?
"Calling it “breathtaking in its scale,” Acting U.S. Attorney John Malcolm Bales of the Eastern District of Texas explained the details of the 107-count indictment against Liberty County Sheriff’s Captain Harry Leroy Kelley." (Posted in the Weblog for the Cleveland Advocate, August and November, 2010) - This, of course, shows that the "non-prosecution" of Deputy Kelley is not what Liberty Dispatch claimed it to be as described below.
The Liberty Dispatch article includes some blathering about the non-prosecution of an ex-deputy sheriff, a Captain Kelley, by the District Attorney or by the County Attorney (Wes Hinch). This fussing was accompanied by the statement that County Attorney Hinch told folks to not send charges about Kelley to Hinch’s office. Rather, the article went on, Hinch told everyone that Kelley should be terminated because of the wrongdoings for which Kelley was being investigated. The article concluded that, at the least, Joe Warren should also be terminated because someone has charged him with committing crimes – a neighbor squabble of more than a year ago - a ruckus that got very much out of hand.
If you fall for this one you would trip over a hair
The Liberty Dispatch blog article also makes this rather outlandish statement, " ...this is the first time in Texas history where prisoners are providing their own prosecutor." This is in reference to the unidentified men in the photograph who may possibly be the ones who (according to Liberty Dispatch) have been accused of raping that little girl.
Those men, if indeed these are the ones, have yet to be tried for that crime and, because they have not been adjudged to be guilty of the crime of rape, none are imprisoned for the crime. Joe Warren has also not been convicted of the crimes for which someone has accused him.
No matter that, it can be easily seen that those accused of the raping are not providing their own prosecutor. The State of Texas is prosecuting them.
Trying to grow poison ivy in the DA's office is not a game
The writers and illustrators of the Liberty Dispatch Weblog are doing their best to disturb the efficiency of prosecution by the Liberty County District Attorney’s office and, in particular, its use of lead prosecutor, Joe Warren. It is going to be interesting to see if the Weblog people and their various allies succeed in this strenuous effort.
You can follow up on what they next construct by tuning in to their Weblog, LibertyDispatch.com. I will try to help you keep up with this ongoing tale of "Trial by Website" right here on HubPages.com.

Thanks for share this with us. You open my eyes about what happen outside, especially in US. Well done, my friend. Have a good day! Cheers....
Point taken here well Gus. Interesting state of affairs in Texas to say the least. This case is in a different direction from the norm for sure.
Both mike little and joe warren need to be removed from office they both have criminal cases pending against them. They should not be aloud to continue to prosecute people for crimes when they are facing criminal charges themselves. Every case they have prosecuted should be investigated with a fine tooth comb as well. i bet there would be lots of surprises if they were.
Joe Warren looks good in blue but he would look much better in orange!!! Right along side Mike Little!!
How can you say they are set ups? If there were no evidence to support the charges then why are there case numbers? If they were set up then why were they arrested in the first place and why wasnt it apparrent that they were set up? If they are then Mike Little and Joe Warren are getting a good does of their own medicine. They to have set people up and sent them off to jail or prison when they were innocent.
wow so now u r attackin the victim and callin them names how mature. and as far as little and warren settin people up it is quite easy when they have the judges and defense lawyers in ther pockets as well along with investigators in the sheriff's dept. so when u have as much corruption as there is in liberty county in one place dont expect to get a fair trial in any court in that county. if u stop and think about it u would realize that those in office are gonna cover for one another and of course they wouldnt take the charges against one of their own. when someone in their positions are accused it should be taken to a higher court out of thier juristiction. that will ensure for a fair trial.
this is all bullsh**! if you ask me both little and warren should be wearing orange and sitting behind bars with the keys thrown away. Gus you have your opinion and I have mine so if you dont like what I say get over it. You obviously were offended by other posters that dislike little and warren.
Did you not type this to one of your posters?
[and a jailhouse lawyer produced, fill-in-the-blank petition about an aging professional attorney anally raping an ugly-looking, illiterate, mentally-deficient convict stinks to high heaven]
There is name calling in this statement. And for the record it is not a penciled in form the statement is hand written by Mr. Blue. And by the way, the way you are talking about Mr. Blue is the same thing you are claiming LD is doin to Little and Warren.
So I would have to say this is all a case of the kettle calling the pot black.
just sounds like a bunch of horse sh** to me. anybody and everybody can play word games but no matter what you say or how you say it, it all still comes out horse sh**. there are those who support Little and Warren and those who dont plain and simple. And there wont be anything that either side will agree on so why get into pissing matches on the internet? But for those who have been wronged by the legal system in Liberty county you can't blame them for having a bad taste in their mouth for those who wronged them. And no that doesn't just pertain to Little and Warrren it also includes anyone in an authorative position that abuses that position. There is no way you can tell me or anyone else with a brain that all law enforcement and elected officals are honest and dont use their postions for personal gain or retaliation on other just cause they can. So again like I said just sounds like a bunch of horse sh**.

I am not familiar with the case (other than reading your work) but know the manufacture of evidence is alive and well in our country. Very interesting Gus.
